A Level Geography

Course Information

Geography is a subject for broadening the mind. It offers you the opportunity to study world changing themes and ideas. It gives you the chance to discuss your points of view whilst also listening to, and taking on board, a diverse range of other people’s opinions too. It has the perfect balance of the sciences and humanities.

Geography is considered one of the ‘facilitating subjects’ by the Russell Group of universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, LSE and others). Many of these top universities require you to have at least one of these subjects at A Level in order to study there. A good GCSE and A Level in Geography is therefore a subject that can really open up possibilities and allows you to keep your future options fully open!
