A Level Economics

Course Information

Economics is a study of Human Behaviour. It aims to explain why people make the choices they make.

We, as humans have infinite wants, but have limited resources to fulfil those wants. It can help explain why people behave the way they do when faced with choices.

It is a social science which incorporates maths and statistics as well as having connections with the physical sciences (biology, medicine and physics) and many other disciplines (law, geography, politics, psychology).

 

Course Content

The course will look at:

  • How countries work
  • How governments come to economic decisions
  • Different systems in our society and how they interact with each other

 

Entry Requirements

ALL TRINITY SIXTH FORMERS NEED

5 GCSES GRADES 4-9

GRADE 5/6 MINIMUM FOR A LEVELS

GRADE 4/5 MINIMUM FOR BTEC

FOR ECONOMICS

IN ADDITION, YOU ALSO NEED AT LEAST A GRADE 5 IN MATHS
